Matt Allen is a an award winning writer/director. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Since graduating from SCAD, he was written and directed several short films, focusing on both drama and comedy. Louisiana born now Los Angeles based, he fell in love with filmmaking after watching movies with his dad like, “Stand By Me” and “Raising Arizona”.

 

Matt focuses on writing and directing films that move people - either to laughter or to tears- and generate discussion around the world and in the living room. He is passionate about the role of music and nature in film and weaves both into his filmmaking. After successful stints on the film festival circuit, two of this short films have received international distribution.
